We might not be the way that you thought

In books or on TV
Not every family has a mom and dad

Our houses can be big or small
Adults might work or stay at home

And we believe that anyone can choose to love playing with dolls or baseball gloves
And we believe that anyone can choose to pray with candles or five times a day
Or any other way

Plain clothes or colorful
One language or many more
Walking or in a wheelchair, or walking with a cane

Wooden or electronic toys
We could be girls we could be boys
Dark skinned or lighter tones, we don’t look the same
